🇺🇿 Wallet in Telegram launches Crypto Stocks in Uzbekistan
Wallet in Telegram has launched a pilot of the new “Crypto Stocks” section in Uzbekistan, giving 27M+ Telegram users access to tokens backed by U.S. company stocks directly inside the app. The new feature allows users to buy, sell, hold and send tokenized versions of popular U.S. stocks and ETFs within Wallet, making access to global financial markets simpler and more accessible.
With more than 60 assets available, users can gain exposure to leading global companies and major exchange-traded funds (ETFs) without leaving Telegram.
Bringing U.S. Markets to Telegram
The Crypto Stocks section is available inside Wallet in Telegram and enables users to interact with tokens backed by U.S. company stocks and ETFs representing shares of major public companies and widely traded investment funds.
Through the new section, users can:
- Buy and sell tokens backed by U.S. company stocks
- Store assets directly in Wallet
- Send tokens to other Telegram users
- Access global markets without traditional brokerage platforms
Trading starts from just $1, significantly lowering the barrier to entry for users who want to begin investing.

At launch, the Crypto Stocks section includes more than 60 tokens backed by U.S. company stocks and ETFs.

Several of the most popular assets are available 24/7, allowing users to trade without interruptions. Most other assets operate 24/5, following the traditional U.S. market schedule, with a weekend break from 20:00 ET on Friday until 9:30 ET on Monday.
Pilot Launch in Uzbekistan
The Crypto Stocks section is launching in Uzbekistan as a pilot program approved by the National Agency for Prospective Projects (NAPP), the country’s regulator for digital assets and emerging financial technologies. The pilot will help evaluate user demand and the practical use of tokenized financial instruments within the Telegram ecosystem.
Uzbekistan has rapidly developed its digital asset market in recent years, and the pilot provides an opportunity to introduce a new way for users to access global investment instruments directly through the apps they already use every day.

The Crypto Stocks product is enabled through Wallet’s integration with the xStocks platform and a partnership with the global crypto exchange Kraken.
xStocks are issued by Backed, a company providing regulated access to tokenized financial instruments backed 1:1 by U.S. stocks and ETFs. Through this infrastructure, Wallet users can gain exposure to major global companies and investment funds directly inside Telegram.
